We like to promote products from sustainable, integrated natural forest management of rural communities from Xishuangbanna and other parts of China. In Xishuangbanna the last remnants of closed tropical forests still can be found and marvelled at. But their future existence is not guaranteed Protection should be of highest priority. Beside pure conservation within natural reserve areas, ecosystem-based management of natural community forests has to be supported and strengthened.

About 14 ethnic minority groups are living in Xishuangbanna. In most cases they are still living according to their inherited cultural traditions. This astonishing cultural diversity together with the high biodiversity of nature results in an equally rich variety of available raw materials and value added natural products including: various types of green tea and Puer tea, fruits, bamboo, rattan, orchids, mushroom, medicinal herbs as well as hand-woven and embroidered textiles and accessories.

All our products we buy directly from local producers. Doing so we can guarantee the highest quality of products, and ensure that the local producers are fairly compensated for their products coming from none-intensive, ecosystem-based forms of cultivation and harvest.
